Hey hey, well currently I am in tech and testing the computers here, I am currently sitting on a mac because it is running at a faster speed that the i3 computers that are littered about. So I am currently Uploading my Lets Play of Prince of Persia on the PlayStation 3 which seems to be going quite rapidly, it probably won't be finished in the next 20 minutes (which is when I get
chucked out of the place) but it is an improvement to my own shitty internet. BT have a plan of providing Fibre Optic in March which I will be upgrading to, whoever can do it but in the meantime this should work out well. It had uploaded 33% in 42 minutes and the file was 1.99Gb so seems to be fine :D. I will certainly be using this and the approximation of these stats to gage whether I can use the tech for uploading videos, and if so how much.

So in 42min it was able to upload approx. 0.7GB of data to YouTube.

That is around 0.017GB per min

P.C. Stats In Preparation

So at the moment I am writing this with my wireless keyboard controller trying to get used to it. It's not bad but like I have said before it is a bit different but fully functional. So I am doing a write up of my current computer, so I can make sure I have the right drivers that are up to date to the posting of this. Time To Upgrade Part 2

So picking up where I left of the last time, I have decided to build a new P.C. with a few key needs in mind. These key ideas were to do video editing, creating images and hopefully learn how to program. What was stopping me from buying my stuff is, you guessed it, the lack of funds. So I have decided to buy the upgrades that I will be doing to my P.C. for my girlfriend and work with that until the funds become available.

So the Upgrades that I decided to get.
Computer Case, one that had an upright position and room for everything.
Cooling Fan, this was for the AMD Phenom 64 processor
Keyboard
Monitor with DVI
Thermal Paste

As before I had done some research into some of these products but generally they were pretty easy to pick out. The only thing I didn't need to pick out was the Computer Case, because as it is going to be my Girlfriends Computer when I upgrade, I thought it might as well be in her taste.

Keyboard - £2.99 - ebuyer
Well not much to write on this, got one that looked like it wouldn't cause a hand cramp and one that didn't look weird.
This was one that fit the profile the Xenta Black for £2.99

Thermal Paste - £5.96 - ebuyer
Again not a lot to write, just had a look around on the reviews and this one seemed to come out very well. This was bought through ebuyer as well. The reason being is that I have had a good customer experience and they are reasonable with the prices.
So I went with Artic Silver for £5.96


Cooling Fan - £16.24 - ebuyer...again
The more interesting stuff, so the cooling fan was a tricky one and even now at the time of this writing I'm still second guessing myself but it has been ordered now so I can only make a change is there is something wrong with it. The Cooling Fan had to be able to be mounted on a AMD Phenom 64bit Chipset, which was to work with the motherboard, MSI 750FX. What I also wanted to do is if I got a more universal one I could see if it would be any use for my new computer and it could be a saving of £30. Just like the thermal paste, the arctic team seemed to come out quite well.
What I decided on was a Artic Cooling Freezer 7Pro for £16.24


Computer Case - £43.40 - amazon
So in regards to the computer case the only thing that was needed was one that passed the girlfriend test, my previous ones were all shot down (but in a nice way :P) so it was up to my gf to do what she does best. Research. She came up with a nice model, seems to have what you need in a case.
So it was decided on the Compucase ATX Case for £43.40.

Monitor - £52.49 - ebuyer (jeese man why don't you marry them)
So on this front I had already done my research into which monitors that I was buying, it is in my This was the Philips 18.5" LCD LED DVI Monitor for £52.49

A little Extra
Wireless Keyboard - £19.98 - ebuyer
So in my last post I was contemplating about getting one of these and after reading reviews like...

"Fantastic range and brilliant functionality, the little touch pad is ideal and although you won't be writing an essay on the keyboard, it's perfect for putting in the odd web address."

"I prefer this to more expensive wireless keyboards I've used. Used at a distance of 5 metres no problem at all."

I decided to say, why not? If it doesn't work on the consoles, I will still be able to use it with my P.C. and have the ability to control it from a good distance.
This was the Xenta Mini Keyboard & Touchpad for £19.98

While I was first writing this up I was looking through the orders and noticed ebuyer had already sent it via parcel force, this in turn made me dash home. After about 15 minuets I arrived to find a card saying they had left it at my local post office... WHICH was straight across the street to where my classes were held. On the form it says that "If you are collecting your parcel, please allow 1 day.".... Why??? Why do I need to wait a further day when I know where it is and I know how to collect it. This made me start to ring the local post office to see if I could collect it today, and also leave in the broken laptop at the same time [The New Current Challenge - My Blogger]. After hearing the news from the Post Office that they had not received it yet and would be getting it in at 4pm, made me think could I call parcel force and not have to get off my lazy butt. But they said that because of December and how busy it is for Christmas they would not be able to redeliver it today. They did say though that if it was another month they could do it.

So then I decided that becasue I had the laptop and it needed fixing and the boxes could be there I got a shower and headed out on my quest to retrive them. Everything went fine from there, I had packed 2 extra bags with the laptop bag, left it in and headed to the post office. He seemed to reconise me from the phone, which was quite weird but he had the packages, scanned very quickly my id and handed me them. I was so excited but I still had time to be rejected by my request for a lift from my father. :P. So I walked back home and the following videos are from then.

My Dispute

Well hello there, so today I have just been through a new process. It started off with me uploading older videos that I have just recently edited. So I had put up Mediacore Episode 0


Which I was very pleased with because I have been meaning to edit these videos for a while. Then not even an hour after it was uploaded I got a flag from youtube about the content. This was Bungie Unboxing of the Halo Reach Xbox Pack which I used their video and reported over the top. I have to say I was only a little bit annoyed because I got a nicely worded email through.

Upon reading this I opened my original edit file and took it out and replaced it with a screen grab of me looking at a few websites concerning the Xbox review. It is currently rendering as I type at... 57.4%. That was when I decided to do a bit of research into what is going on with the copyright infringement. So as most went straight unto wikipedia, and then decided I need something else because if I use this as a fact people will laugh at me :P. I then found a website copyrightservice P-09 & copyrightservice P-27 which applies to my situation. Now mediacore is intended as a Gaming news and reviews show and by U.K. law "6(iii)Criticism or review & 6(iv) News reporting" but I don't mind if I need to take it down because I have the other one edited now.

So unto my dispute, I first went through the process and then freaked out a bit about what can youtube do to me if I have messed up. So the few screens that I went through are just below.



Like I said I did this first and then the "ohh what have I done" thoughts pop into my head. Now I did read a few pages [P1, P2, P3 & P4] which in turn calmed me down a bit because mine was not as bad and I have the backup of it anyway. Well I will add in an edit if I get updated on it. I actually have 2 Videos banned from Germany... I think for just music but nothing I want to do about them because I think I was in the wrong and I will just have to re-edit them.

The random videos have a different approach of Named and Dated of who is in them, when it was recorded and not a lot of editing needed. The reason for this is because I have a lot of videos I want to get up there so people can have a look at what I have recorded previously and I want to get them up quick. This is where I can also do a back up and Alternative Edits of videos that I have put up on the main channel.
I'm still not sure where I will put my channel updates if I need to do them but I'm thinking here as well.

Time to Upgrade

Well for me it is time to upgrade so what I have been doing is doing a bit of research, and trying to come up with a plan. First off I did what I did before, get caught up with the current market of hardware. This first lead me to see what AMD had came out with most recently. This lead me unto failure, the reason being that the processor called "bulldozer" had came out and it was a bit of a let down. Now between the Flamers and the Non-Committal I finally turned my attention to the other leader, Intel. The reason why I went to AMD before is because when I was building the P.C. that I am on at the moment, I went with a AMD Phenom64 Quad Core. Reason behind this I was getting more power for the price at the time, it has served very well so far and when there was a suspected problem with it (which I found out later it was just in incompetence of come repair man and fixed it myself) I sent it of to AMD who said they couldn't see a problem with it but they would replace the chip just in case. That was amazing customer service, and that is why I wanted to stay with them.
Alas I started researching intel and OMG the stats and raw data that I started reading over was just fantastic. I had made up my mind using the stats from overclock3d which gave a more opinionated review as instead of avoiding there own opinion and committing to something that was going to be on the *dun dun dun* INTERNET. Anyway after looking at that I decided it would have to be a motherboard that can take the newest chipset 1155, and because of the lack of money get the 5i 2500k for now. My friend, weyom, convinced me that overclocking is a lot easier than it seems so I am going for the 2500k@ £167.94 or 2600k@ £242.99 if I have the money. :P.

So next up is the motherboard, so I have been looking a few different types of motherboards and at this point I'm not sure on the matter. The one that I saw a review with the overclock3dwas the asus-p8h67 -Video. Which seemed pretty good. Weyom's recomendation was for the gigabyte-ga-p67a @£104.70.


Now we all know that we can be judged by our cover so it was time for me to pick out some Cases and Monitors. In regards to Cases I needed something that would be able to hold a good few hard disk drives with hopefully easy access. An easy access Audio cables on the front and most importantly I needed one that had a cut-away in the metal to allow for the cooling apparatus that I was to put on it. Weyom pointed me in the right direction with this image.
These were unto the second to last Hurdle, Case1, Case2, Case3, Case4, Case5, Case6, Case7, Case8.
Now I did go through a lot of different ones, as seen above but I had reduced it down to [@} Cases.

And you can guess which ones I preferred :P. Now I will be buying 2 cases, one for my old P.C. that I will be putting in a good cooling system, upgrading it to windows 7 & getting an o.k. graphics card for. The graphics card will be at a later date but the rest is necessary to let my girlfriend run the virtual servers off.
Now Monitors, I currently have a hand-me-down Samsing SyncMaster 172v which is a beige, VGA connection and smallish monitor. I have now looked at a few and all I seem to want is one with a DVI connector. So there are 2 on my plate that I feel are certainly worth the money. The Hanns-g 21.5" @ £88.99 and the Philips 18.5" @ £62.99. No real decision on that front, want to chat to the girlfriend to get opinions.

Now in regards to coolers I was a bit uneasy at first, with the post "moltile: lol well there was a few coolers that i was looking at because the fact that it is "water cooled" got to be honest, scared me a bit so i haven't looked into it yet." but again with the guidance from my friend weyom pointed out there are 2 different things, water cooling and water pumps. The water pump is the one I wanted, no assembly required apart from sticking it on and no replacing the liquid. The recommendation was to get one like this.

In regards to graphics cards I will not be getting anything new for a while, reason being is that the funds are pretty low and if i need to bottle neck my P.C. it might as well be the part I will probably be upgrading most often. The one that I thought would be a good entry level was the GTX 570 but this may change. I know so far that I haven't mentioned RAM but it is the same respect as the graphics card, I will be upgrading it more often than not.

I thought I would throw this in. It is a Xenta wireless mini keyboard with a touchpad. The first thing that poped into my head was. Ohhh that's an interesting keyboard, it could be used on my ps3 etc. I wonder if that would work, wooooop :P. This is Weyoms P.C. Spec. & Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

The New Current Challange - Part 1

So in my possession at the moment is an acer aspire 7736g 664g50mn, it is a 17.5'' Screen, HHD about 500Gb, nVidia gforce g210m and it will not power on. I took it to a repair place called fixaphone who charge me £20 to tell me that it is unfix-able. I have collected it and have now started to try and diagnose the problem myself.

First off I have tried this

*Take out the battery,
*Remove main supply,
*Hold power button down for 30 secs,
*Put only power supply in, do not put battery in
*Turn laptop on

The laptop turned on for about 5minutes and it was running a Start up repair and it had on it that it knew it didn't turn on. After the 5 min it turned itself off again. The first thought in my head is the AC Cable, its the easy one to get to. I unpluged it so the green light went out. Plugged it back in and tried the above steps again but this time the line on the power button didn't even flicker.

I left it for a while and put the ac cable back in, it started all the fans and we got a flicker on the screen. This was after doing the steps after 7min with the ac cable plugged into the mains, not connected to the laptop and the battery not in the back.

I have now waited 15min in the same state and making a short clip of what is happening.


So started fans again and it turned off, no screen just light action. Moving the laptop about caused the power light (to show that power is getting to the laptop) to flicker on for a fraction of a second. So next step is to get another power supply to see if that is what is causing the problem. Although... na time for bed.
I am using this website for Black Screen Issues and Troubleshooting which I will start to follow after fucking about with the laptop for a while. The acer website does not help very much but it has a number I can contact at the very least. [btw google+ I'm in but haven't done anything].

So I went in and complained about these problems and how far I have gotten with the laptop and of course it was a different engineer that did it and they don't have a detailed report of what he did etc. etc. So the "lead engineer" would like to take a look at it to see what is wrong. I do hope it is what I suspect it is at the moment, which is a power supply problem. I will be leaving the Laptop in on the 06.12.11 and not paying them, I will fight for my £20 back. :P

The Morning of Drunk Clarity and More Drunk

I have been thinking that I need to put this evaluation in words that have been posted. So here are my thoughts I am now currently nearly 2l of diet coke (because I think it tastes better) and about 450ml of Smirnoff Vodka (because I wanted to get drunk and I also prefer the taste). "And at writing I have walked downstairs to go to the loo. I had a small bit of clarity on 2 subjects while I have been drunk. These are Financial and Will. To explain the first would be to long so I'll sum it up.

• Financia: I have been bad with money, borrowed some, bad again, borrowed more. Now can Keep up with repayments only because gf works full time and cheaper rent. The reason I have been so bad is that I havn't confronted this problem [head on]... ever.

• To deal with this I will need to fully confront these issues and seek help. This may mean coming clean to my dad or finding an alternative route to take. The reason I bring up my dad is because I share the vast majority of my life with him and I have great respect for him. I think I don't want to come clean because it will dull my armor even more, which I do not want to do. I still need to do something though so I need to Talk this through thoroughly.

Next up is will:

• So this is a bit more convoluted that what was previous. My personal will sucks. I have relied on other people to help me try and push me to become better. This is completely wrong to do. For example smoking, I started smoking again because I love doing it. I love the heat of it, the wrongness for doing it and the hit afterwards. So now I am really wanting one again and there is none left in the house so what do I do... I become irritable and, well, a lot of things. Which does not help with my awesome relationship. I know she loves me and she knows whats going on. I do not want her to 'have to put with me' because she deserves more happiness for making me so happy. So to also fix this, I am already trying my writing/talking about it. What I want to do is take each problem and work out why I don't want to do it and make it so I don't have an excuse.

Jag - first swig from ice cold bottle and it tastes very good and warms the belly, its odd that :D. Goint to log into Steam and see if I can talk to my buddy Jin. Just wrote the title for this and I cant Believe that I spelled "Clarity" correctly :P. Time for a second swig.. but first some precaution a bag and a splash zone in case the worst happens. OK doritos box from moving and a heatons plastic bag plus tissue from my previous cold. I feel prepared (which reminds me about archer :D) ok drink... ok that was fine. Well Jin is not online but I sent him a message.

Ohhhh just watched a trailer to Payday The Heist and I am really interested... Archer Season 2 Episode 9 because I can.. :D OK that is enough of the stream of conscious. I'll try to update soon :D

Time Watching vs. Time Doing

While sitting here watching the first episode of house season 7 episode 1 and I'm thinking that I need to get things sorted. I have been enjoying house over the past week and been loving it but that it over 15 episodes and well actually hold on one moment... 40min per episode and 20 episodes 800min divided by 60 is 13.3 reoccurring.... ok i have spent 13 hours and 20min watching house over the week and I have yet to do anything on my plan. Why do I procrastinate so much... jeese did I spell that right first go, while drunk, well that's a new one. :P. So down to business, I am going to calculate the amount of shit I watch vs. the amount of work I do next week so this will be a tough one so i will write it on my arm, right now. Brown doesn't work unto black. That did it with the simple message "Watch Vs. Work" including the "." so I shall report back every day and say what is going on weather it be a vlog or text... I should write that down to, i have put "... Report"

A Change is Happening

Hello people,

So I shall be making a few changes to things that hopefully people will enjoy. This will also be a way so I can keep track of things and use it as a guide.

Mediacore

This is my show on youtube which I have only put up one episode. This will be changed in the coming months.

• First off, I will be creating some music that will be in the introduction and ending which will make sure that I will not get flagged by copyright laws.
• Next there will be a schedule put in place so I am uploading regular content.
• There will be a playlist made on the main channel for Mediacore so people can watch all the episodes in order if they chose to.
• Also a change in the editing side, this will be using a free to run program that will run on my setup as it currently stands. My setup is old and I need to have a bit of work done. I will also be introducing (hopefully) video of the current item that I am talking about.
• Future Ideas will be coming but one that I would like to write down is that I would like to start using green screen to have images and videos the overlaid in post.

Vlog and Extra Channel

Well if your reading this your here :D, this will have a few different changes made but these will be a slow process where I will try and have things done in a timely way.

• So I would like to have the same Images, Buttons, Background and feel on all the content made by me so all these will have an overhaul at some point.
• I will be making one of these sites my main site and then link all from and to it. This will probably be the blogger.

WTF Parents

Seriously,

I don't understand, well generally I don't but this time is different. I always thought I have been on good terms with my parents but my mum has made me so angry there now I don't know what to think. So I have not been having the best couple of weeks, was in clearing so they didn't get to look at my application sooooo that means that I didn't get into queens this year. That in turn has spawned a few things, first I need to get my financial support completed but there website won't let me change it. Next is Queens who have yet to reply to say what access course would be better to do to get in next year. Lastly is the BelfastMet who have such a shitty website that it crashes every time I complete any stage of there forum. GOD DAM this sort of thing shouldn't be so hard. I want to progress my learning why won't people let me do that.

Anyway about my mum, conversation was going well about 50min into it. Then she mentions Doctor McGoldrick from Downpatrick. That went on to me explaining that how he didn't give me proper medical treatment for over 3years and only when I (by chance) changed my doctors that I noticed this. I had been taking a drug that reduces swelling that also reduced the pain but I needed physiotherapy, which he forgot to mention for over 3 years. Actually now that I think about it is has been now.... 4.7 Years. After explaining this to my mum she was like "oh but thats different he has been fine with me". AHHHH!!! I just explained that I didn't know that there was something wrong with me until I went to someone else and she is defending the guy who has put me in the pain that I have been feeling right up and including this message.

How can anyone disregard that never mind my own flesh and blood... certainly not my own brain or else she would have been a lot more agreeable (in the end).

Anyway there is my rant over, I will go back to watching the last Disk of season 2 Supernatural.

Plans, Love.. and a mix of both

Well currently i'm watching momento, so far it is fantastic that i remember. Typing ths up while quite... well i'm a bit drunk lol black bush hits the spot soooo well lol. OK lots of news, lets go then, I have been living in Belfast since I met my other half and now I am moving back to my hometown which is a strange feeling. These past 3 years have moved so fast that it feels so unreal in my head, I can't seem to grasp on any moment that i'm currently in apart from applying the majority of my brain power to it reminding myself that this is a moment that I will never have again, this is a moment that I have to savour. This is a struggle that all humans seem to grasp over time but the one that I value the most that most humans will need someone else to go through is connection. This is best summed up as the 17 year old self watching movies with a love or romantic intrest in it, this was not forein to me and it was not unwelcomed to me either. At the time I felt that I could understand it, the feeling of loss for a loved one, this is through family members, friends and people that I know which fade out of my life or (which is the most extreme) die. Again I felt that I understood this untill I met gee. She is someone that I picked, an agreement that was talked over ans mutualy agreed upon, a relationship that grew from actual friendship and exploded into something else that I cannot compute. I love her. In each part of me, all the fiber in my body from my toes too my hair, I love her and this, Only this, was the step that made me realise that I had been missing out in an important part of human existance... love. Something that I now relise that its one word, even with a dictonary meaning, cannot express (fully) exactly what happens when you have this feeling.

Ook lol well I'm moving back to Downpatrick in a week (btw OMG ShitTop is getting so frigging hot lol) will be making a video of a tour of the house on monday and I have no idea when I will have it edited. The plan is that I will do this when I move in to my new house at some point that, well, I will have a videoto show what it was like to be living in a place that cost a lot more that it should :P.

Next up is the video that I made.. well momento caught me up a bit its the part where he is chasing a guy, but he isn's which made me laugh.. so yes Mediacore, I did one episode that seemed to work well overall, I personally loved the intro and the outro was ok. The intro needs to shorten down, I need to get better lighting and I think thati'm going to place the raw video on to of the tv to make the lighting not effect the camera. Other points I will note to myself that I will probably make a paper not of it the orget about it becasue it is in my nature.

Next is the few ideas that I have for different shows, this will not be an exaustive list of them but a summary of them witha few not included :D. So first is a show where it is a walkthrough, and interactive walkthrough would be good but I do not have enough time at them moment. I would just love if me and someone else takes the time to go through and even look some different stuff like gamefaqs. But the detail is not improtant I just want a good time and record is so people can have a good time aswell.

So far mediacore and a playthrough, the other thing I wanted to start was someting a long the lines of reviews and trailers that will get overanalysed or just commented on. This would be along the line of linking to the actuall trailer and then either doing a "mystery science theatre" on it, overanalysing it or both to let people enjoy it.

Apart from that I would like to do a song a month including at least a crappy video about the shitty songs that I write. Anyway I will be putting this up in more detail at some point and I will also have a lot more to say. Thank you for taking the time out of you life to read this, I hope that is was enjoyable to read.. or if not just point out all the mistakes that i'm making lol.
